These Three Things are what Set High-End Brands Apart

As a brand identity designer and strategist, I have had the privilege of working with many brands from various industries. And in my time doing so, I’ve been able to pick up on key factors that help set high-end brands apart. One thing that accomplishes this is their commitment to a good brand experience. This is one of the most important things you can do for your brand, outside of having a great product. In this post, I want to share with you valuable insights that will help you establish your business as a high-end brand.

1. Establishing Trust & Credibility

One crucial aspect I've emphasized in my freelance practice is building trust and credibility. A great way to show credibility in your brand is by showcasing reviews of your services on your website. What this does is it encourages potential customers/clients to feel confident in your brand, which leads to increased loyalty, repeated business, and more potential for referrals. A strong collection of raving reviews can really set your high-end brand apart from the competition.

Providing several reviews from my clients right on my home page instantly establishes trust, credibility, and confidence in my prospective clients’ decision to work with me.

2. The Importance of Visual Storytelling

Through the years of working to help elevate brands using visual language, I've witnessed the transformative ability of good storytelling. I emphasize the importance of crafting brand narratives a lot, not only to my clients but even in my own marketing and messaging for my design studio. Successful brands are more than just a great product; they provide an immersive experience that captivates and connects with their audience.

You can identify pretty quickly which brands invest in their visual experience and which ones do not. A professional brand designer will carefully and thoughtfully curate the right imagery and designs using strategic methods to attract and immerse your audience in an unforgettable experience that has them coming back for more. Brands that don't focus on this can sometimes not send the right message to their customers, and in worse cases, they actually drive them away. High-end brands recognize the importance of creating a seamless visual experience for their customers.

I designed for my client, Farm Yard, an elevated brand design that was brought to life through here custom Squarespace website. Doing this created a seamless, elevated experience for her customers, which established her as a high-end custom floral bouquet business.

3. Consistency is Key

Piggybacking off of the importance of visual storytelling, sticking with the direction and guidelines your brand designer provides for you is just as important. Don’t stray away from the fonts, colors, and photography direction that was established for your brand unless it’s very intentional. High-end brands look consistent throughout all their client touch points, and don’t have haphazard photography, font, and color selections that aren’t cohesive with the rest of their look.

My Client, Beebee’s Syrups, is establishing themselves as a high-end coffee syrup brand by sticking with their brand photography, color palette, and font selection I curated for them!

This keeps their social media feeds feeling branded, consistent, and high-end.

Sending the right message in a professional, thoughtful, and captivating way can make all the difference in bringing your brand all the success it deserves.
